Answer question 2 a and c
a) I believe this poem is about immigrants who don’t get accepted. Therefore they have to travel from one country to another, trying to find a place where they are welcome. I believe that the poet tries to describe these people’s feelings. That they feel rejected, and that they don’t fit in anywhere. They are only a burden.
c) In one way I believe it reflects our attitude, but on the other hand it doesn’t. I don’t believe that every developed country refuses immigrants, but just send them over to another country, claiming that the immigrants are their problem. But I do believe that when you do immigrate to a developed country, and you get accepted, you have to stand on your own feet. You can’t expect much help.
